Client

Our client is a large, mid-sized family-owned company based in the Black Forest.

Tasks

Overall responsibility for the production site

• Overall managerial responsibility for the production site.
• Management of approximately 125 employees, including direct supervision of department heads
• Production involving various manufacturing lines, injection molding, mixing, internal logistics, production engineering (maintenance), and scheduling,
• Manufacturing process planning,
• Production controlling,
• Chemical Safety / Compliance.

• Responsibility for the plant’s budget, costs, investments, and earnings.
• Ensuring occupational safety, environmental safety, and plant safety.



Production & Operational Excellence.

• Ensuring stable, cost-effective, and on-time production.
• Managing all production areas with a high degree of vertical integration.
• Continuous improvement of productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Further development of pragmatic lean and shop floor management.



Process & Site Development

• Close collaboration with the Development department, which is also located on-site but reports to the Development division.
• Close coordination and management of manufacturing process planning.
• Industrialization of new products and technologies.
• Planning and implementation of investments in machinery, equipment, and automation.
• Further development of production processes from chemical, regulatory, and safety perspectives.



Quality & Compliance

• Responsibility for quality, processes, and standards at the plant.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements (e.g., chemical regulations, occupational safety).
• Continuous improvement of process stability and product quality.



Leadership

• Development of managers and employees.
• Promotion of an open, solution-oriented, and high-performing corporate culture.
• Active support of change processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (e.g., chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, plastics engineering) or comparable qualification.
• Understanding of business administration and entrepreneurial mindset.



Experience

• Several years of leadership experience in a production environment at a medium-sized company.
• Ideally, experience in the chemical industry, process industry, or fastener technology.
• Practical experience in plant, production, or operations management with a high degree of value creation.
• Proven experience in optimizing production processes.



Skills

• Very good understanding of production processes and manufacturing technologies.
• Experience in process optimization, capital projects, and production metrics.
• Hands-on mentality with strong execution skills.
• Confidence in dealing with regulatory agencies, audits, and internal stakeholders.



Personality

• An entrepreneurial, down-to-earth leader.
